[Symptom]
When you install the SQL Server Service pack on MSCS Env, you would be watch this below windows and no more grow a progress bar..

And in node 2’s task manager, you can’t find msiinstal or hotfix.exe.

[Cause]
Node 2’s default share is deleted.

[Resolution]
Make default share.
Start regedit and change AutoShareServer’s value to 1
Location :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\Parameters\AutoShareServer

솔직히 제가 문제 발생 시 수집했던 덤프를 가지고 있지 않아 상세 로깅은 힘듭니다.
하지만 오늘 질문이 와서 한 마디 올립니다.

[현상]
SQL Server 설치를 위한 인스톨러가 Crash와 함께 종료 된다.
일반적으로 상세하게 보자면 종료와 함께 덤프가 발생합니다. 하지만 일반 엔지니어 분들이 보시기에는 그냥 설치 않된다고 생각하셔도 무방하실 것으로 보입니다.

[원인]
MSCS 클러스터의 모든 리소스 / 그룹에는 이름이 있습니다. 그런데 이 이름 중 하나라도 특수 문자가 들어가 있을 경우 문제가 발생합니다.
실제로 보이는 화면에서는 그러한 특수 문자를 확인 할 수 없습니다.
제가 문제를 경험한 플랫폼은 X64 기반의 Windows 2003 으로 다국어 버전이였습니다.

중요한 것은 사용자 잘못 입력하거나 실제 클러스터 리소스를 확인 하면 해당 특수 문자가 확인 되지 않는 다는 점 입니다.

[해결 방안]
이 경우에는 모든 리소스 및 그룹의 이름을 다시 영문으로 작성하게 되면 쉽게 해결이 됩니다.
(물론 제 경우 원인 규명에는 정말 힘들었었습니다…ㅋ)

[현상]
LCS 2005 SP1 설치 이후 아래의 이벤트와 함께 LCS 서비스가 시작되지 않는다.
Event ID: 16388
Description: The component Live Communications User Services reported a critical error: code C3EE78F8 (Enterprise Edition Server successfully registered with the backend, but a stored procedure version mismatch was detected. The service will not start until this problem is resolved. Resolution: Ensure both the Enterprise Edition Server and backend were installed or modified by the same installation package.). The service has to stop.

[원인]
LCS의 프론트 엔드서버에만 SP1이 설치 됐거나, 백 엔드 프론트 엔드 같은 역활을 하는 서버에서 프론트에만 설치 되었기 때문입니다. 백 엔드에는 LCS2005-KB911996-x86-Kor.msi POOLNAME=poolname  와 같은 형식으로 설치 하게 됩니다.

[해결 방법]
cmd 창에서 LCS2005-KB911996-x86-Kor.msi POOLNAME=poolname(풀 이름) 을 실행 합니다.

음 벌써 3번째 누적 업데이트가 나왔네요…^^;

오랫만에 영어로 글을 올리네요.
다중 VLAN 환경에서 Client를 VLAN간에 이동을 할 경우 DHCP서버에서 IP를 못 가져 오는 경우가 있습니다.

확인 해보면 relay agent의 ip도 잘 받아 오고 있는데 왜 그럴까요?
보통 이 경우는 DHCP를 구성 할 때 VLAN 구간의 IP 영역을 대 영역의 하위 영역으로 포함시킨 경우 발생하게 됩니다. 즉 대 영역을 쓰지 않으면 IP를 잘 받아 옵니다.

[Symptoms]
Your Switch are configured multi vLans and you have 1 DHCP Server (Windows).
DHCP clients across router from DHCP server are unable to get an address from the server.

Through relay agent’s ip address is correct, DHCP sent incorrect ip address (it is same as ex vlans ip address)

This is netmon reply packet from DHCP Server

[Solution]
Microsoft suggest like this (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/197197/)

A DHCP server can provide IP addresses to client computers spanning multiple subnets if the router that separates them can act as an RFC 1542 (BOOTP) relay agent.

1. Configure a BOOTP/DHCP Relay Agent on the client segment. This can be the router itself or a Windows NT computer running the DHCP relay service.
2. Configure a DHCP scope to match the network address on the other side of the router where the clients are. Make sure the subnet mask is correct. - Do not configure a default gateway on the DHCP server's NIC such that it is the same address as that of the router supporting the subnet where the clients are. - Do not include that subnet's scope in any superscope that is configured on the DHCP server's LAN segment.
3. Make sure there is only one logical route between the server and the remote clients.

The most frequently caused mistake is including superscope.
If you got a this problem, We should check about superscope.

먼저 Windows 7100 x64 버전에서만 게임 실행이 가능합니다.
x86 에서는 블루 스크린이 뜨네요… ㅡ,.ㅡ;;

본좌는 Lineage 라는 극강의 훼인 게임을 한달 평균 15시간 정도 즐기고 있습니다.
(2006년 이후로 3랩업 했습니다… 3년간…)
그런데… 아니 젠장… Lineage가 실행이 않되는 겁니다…
좌절에 좌절을 거듭하며, 나름 NICA에 메일도 보내보고 했지만, 딱 한마디! “지원하지 않습니다.” 젠장… 다른 외국 사이트는 벌써 Windows 7 RC용으로 소프트웨어 다 나왔던데… 역시나 국내는 느립디다…

그리하여 열심히 구글링을 했습니다.

위 사이트에서 드디어 Game Guard를 정상적으로 실행 할 수 있는 방법을 알아냈습니다.

중요 : 모든 작업은 Administrator 권한으로 실행해야 합니다. Run As Administrator 알죠?

1. 먼저 게임을 설치한 폴더로 이동합니다.
2. GameGuard 폴더와 GameGuard.des 폴더를 Rename 합니다. (전 확장자에 _ 를 추가했습니다.
예) GameGuard_, GameGuard.des_
3. 첨부한 압축 파일을 풀어서 해당 폴더에 덮어 씌웁니다.
4. 게임을 실행 합니다.

본 방법을 통해 GameGuard 를 사용하는 모든 게임을 실행 할 수 있습니다.
다만 Windows 7 x64 버전만 된다는…;;;
