If you want to allocate more files or a extend file size, sometimes SQL Server alert the error.
Msg 5149 Level 16 state 1 1450
I think that is not a SQL Server Problem.
It may be a Windows Performance Problem.
The First : Insufficient of Nonpaged Pool or Paged Pool
For locate file system, Windows's cache manger using the System Pools.
but System Pool's (Nonpaged Pool and Paged Pool) Size is fixed when the windows is booting.

The Second : Insufficient of Disk or MFT
Although you have sufficient disk storage, MFT may be full.
You can monitoring your MFT Size on Disk Manager.
